In reaction to a tweet from OpenAI’s chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, Elon Musk asked whether anything risky was going on at the business.

Ilya Sutskever, the chief scientist at OpenAI, expressed on X how much he “deeply regretted” being a part of the board that decided to fire former CEO Sam Altman. Furthermore, he said, “I never intended to harm OpenAI.” I adore what we’ve created together, and I’ll stop at nothing to bring the business back together.”

Sutskever’s tweet quickly gained popularity on social media, and tech millionaire Elon Musk even responded to it. Musk questioned whether OpenAI is engaging in any risky activity in response to the tweet. “Why did you do something so extreme?” he wrote. About Sam Altman’s removal from OpenAI:

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, was fired because the organization no longer trusted him to guide it. The board said in a statement that Altman’s resignation “follows a deliberative review process,” after which it was determined that “he was not consistently candid in his communications with the board, hindering its ability to exercise its role.” The board no longer believes he can successfully lead OpenAI in the future.

The CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, announced Altman’s departure from OpenAI shortly after it was announced. Emmett Shear, a co-founder of Twitch, has revealed that he has been appointed as OpenAI’s new CEO.
